Course information
Contemporary Mathematics (M) is only available for students who are officially enrolled in the Inclusion Support Program (ISP). This course provides opportunity for students to develop their numeracy skills required for employment and to assist in managing their personal finances. The course focuses on developing skills in real-world contexts.

Unit 1
Numeracy in the workplace: income and payroll, workplace problem solving, mathematics for Industry and VET.
Unit 2
Financial numeracy: money management, banking, financial loans.
Unit 3
Numeracy skills for living: budget, tenancy, mathematics of transport and travel.
Unit 4
Numeracy to maintain personal health: maths relating to nutrition, medication and exercise.
