Drama / Musical Production (R)

the cast of Matilda: The Musical

Course information

This is a course for students who love to perform on the stage but choose not to study the Performing Arts as part of their academic package. The primary focus is the development of the annual school drama production - which alternates between a play or a musical year about. Students select this course as a 6th (extra) subject and study it over a minimum of 3 terms until the production run is finished. The unit runs on Line 9 (3 1/2) hours on Wednesday afternoons, but students will also need to commit to extra hours outside of class time to prepare for this polished performance. There is no assessment in this unit - students pass the course as a result of active attendance and engagement.
