About this course
Pathways to Work and Learning helps students identify current skills and set goals for work and learning. Students learn about workplace rights and responsibilities and practise skills that transfer to many industries. Assessment usually includes projects and tasks such as plans, presentations, reflections and portfolios.

Units in this course
Students complete 2 units for a Minor or 4 units for a Major.
The Career Mindset
This unit is about understanding the world of work and setting goals for future work and learning.
Students will:
- explore skills and habits that support success
- identify strengths and create a simple plan for next steps
Workplace and Learning Practices
This unit is about workplace expectations, rights and responsibilities, and safe and respectful work practices.
Students will:
- learn about workplace communication and behaviour
- explore basic workplace rights and safety expectations
Enterprise Skills
This unit is about building transferable skills used in many jobs and learning contexts.
Students will:
- develop teamwork, communication, problem-solving and digital skills
- identify skill gaps and practise strategies to improve
Creating Opportunities
This unit is about planning opportunities for the future through ideas, networks and simple project planning.
Students will:
- develop and present an idea or plan for a future opportunity
- use basic project planning and find reliable information and support
